👶 Early Signs of a Tongue Tie in Infants
Agape Family Health | Caring for Your Little Ones 💙

Tongue tie (ankyloglossia) happens when the band of tissue under a baby’s tongue is too tight or short, limiting movement. Early detection can make feeding easier and more comfortable for both baby and mom.

🍼 Early Signs to Watch For:

✔️ Difficulty latching during breastfeeding
✔️ Clicking sounds while nursing
✔️ Poor weight gain
✔️ Gassy, fussy after feeds
✔️ Prolonged feeding sessions
✔️ Mom experiencing ni**le pain or damage

Sometimes tongue tie can also affect bottle feeding and later speech development.

After someone in your home has had the flu, here’s what we recommend:

🧽 Disinfect High-Touch Surfaces
Door handles, light switches, remotes, phones, countertops, and bathroom surfaces.

🛏️ Wash Bedding & Towels
Use warm or hot water when possible.

🧸 Clean Shared Items
Toys, keyboards, tablets, and frequently used items should be wiped down with disinfectant.

🪥 Replace Toothbrushes
Especially for the person who was sick.

🗑️ Throw Away Used Tissues & Trash
Take out bedroom and bathroom trash cans.

🫧 Don’t Forget Hand Hygiene
Continue frequent handwashing to prevent reinfection or spread to others.

Flu viruses can live on surfaces for hours — a good deep clean helps protect your whole family. 💙
