Edit: So as it turns out, you CAN teach an old dog new tricks. I just recently had a chat with a colleague who informed me better about the contagious factor of poison ivy and I had some misinformation going around that fact. Learning new information is always empowering, even if you had the best of intentions. So my apologies on spreading misinformation, which is never my goal.
However. I’m still personally uncomfortable with massaging someone who has poison ivy or any of the other itchy plants and will be maintaining that if you have an active flare up, please do cancel. Thank you for growing and learning with me. ❤️

Hello, friends! I’m making this post to request and remind everyone that if you have any poison ivy, oak, sumac, or any other contagious rash to PLEASE reschedule your appointment, even if you have it covered, it’s “just” a small area that you think I may be able to work around, or it’s at the scab stage. The risk is just too high for me to also get it and if that happens, I can’t work. ❤️❤️❤️ Moving forward, if a client comes in for an appointment with poison ivy etc, I will cancel the session. I would rather lose one appointment than potentially lose days of work. The same holds true with illnesses. If you’re under the weather, please reschedule/cancel. 🤒
I know this is stronger language than I typically word my posts, and I don’t want anyone to feel uncomfortable or put off by this post, but this will be a hard boundary for me now.
As always, thank you for being the most amazing clients and for your support and understanding that there are just times where massage is not appropriate and rescheduling or cancellation is the best option for both of us.
Have a wonderful day! 🫶🏻🤗💕
