As we close the 2025 chapter… ❤️

In our first year as a practice, we were unexpectedly nominated — and honored to receive recognition in several categories, including Best Primary Care Practice, Best Medical Office, and Best Holistic Practice in Columbia.

As we look ahead, our prayer is that the growth we are experiencing never causes us to forget why those nominations happened. We believe care should feel personal, meaningful, and rooted in genuine connection.

2025 asked for patience, awareness, and intentional decisions that protected the long-term vision.

It was a year of controlled growth and deep healing—within our patients, within the practice, and within the unseen work behind it all.

2026 is about building on that foundation.

Today I was given one of the most precious gifts I’ve ever received. I have permission from her to share ❤️

A patient hand-delivered her published book to me — and I was the very first person she gave it to. She even placed tabs throughout the pages where Roots and our work together were part of her journey. I’ve been crying grateful tears ever since. 🤍

I have the honor of caring for her entire family, and moments like this are a sacred reminder that true healing is never passive. This kind of care requires a patient who is willing to show up, ask hard questions, stay the course, and walk through the hard and often ongoing parts of the journey — even when it feels heavy.

Healing doesn’t always look the way we expect, but we are thankful for healing in all of its forms. That has been my prayer long before Roots even had a name.

To be trusted with someone’s story, their family, and their healing is something I will never take lightly. I am endlessly grateful for patients who allow us to walk alongside them. 🌿🦋🥹

I shared this with my staff today and wanted to share it with you as well.

So often, I find myself sitting across from patients 12 months after we first began working together, witnessing truly incredible transformations. Improvements in labs and physical health, more energy, deeper sleep, improved mood, balanced hormones, more regular cycles, a calmer nervous system, reduced pain—and so much more.

But beyond the numbers, it’s the moments that stay with me. Celebrating with you when you finally see a positive pregnancy test after trying to conceive. Hearing you say, “I’m able to show up for my kids better because I am better.” Celebrating consistent, restful nights of sleep that you haven’t had in years. Watching how differently you handle life’s stress compared to before. Seeing a child with PANDAS have a breakthrough and go months without a flare. Reaching a goal weight and witnessing confidence return. Watching dangerously high inflammatory markers normalize.

Not every journey looks the same, but the ability to say, “I can’t wait to see where you are a year from now,” again and again is something I never take for granted.

It’s truly a privilege to take care of each of you & I know the rest of the staff at Roots feels the same 💛🌿
