Hey Folks,
I moved into a really sweet place on Broadway and am looking for a suite mate. Do you know anyone awesome? Send them my way.

One beautiful, sunlit office room in convenient location open in a shared suite. Perfect for a bodyworker or therapist. $550/month includes all utilities except internet. The suite has 3 rooms, each approximately 225 sq feet (13ft x 17ft). Your suite-mate in the North room will be Corri Flaker-Fraser, who specializes in cranio-sacral therapy, a gentle hands-on technique that supports the central nervous system to down-regulate. You will be the south room. In between, there is a shared room that can be used as a waiting room, for group work, or another agreed upon purpose. The suite is located in a newly renovated building across from Stephens Lake Park and on the Hinkson Creek and Hominy Creek trails. Available April 1 (or sooner upon request). Please contact Corri.f@gmail.com to arrange a time to come by and see the rooms.

Last week, in St Louis, I attended The Nerve Tour, hosted and taught by
It was a slideshow storytelling event that explained the dissection process on cadavers. The stories were told in a respectful way that honored the lived experience of the bodies he worked on. This presentation helped me gain a better understanding of what I’m working on with my living clients, and to see, with my own eyes, how interconnected the nervous system is with the rest of the body.
I’m applying it to my practice, and I’m also noticing it in nature too. Check out this root system on this celosia, it looks quite similar to a trail of nerves in a body. Coincidence? I think not.

Took a nice little nap in an HBOT today!
I’ve heard about Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy from some of my clients and I wanted some first-hand experience. As the cabin was filling with oxygen I had to pop my ears a few times but, aside from that, it was comfortable. I am clear and can focused. Also to note: I am not claustrophobic. When the cabin was completely full, I felt like I was lying in a small tent. Folks who have a problem with small spaces might need extra coaching and a distraction, such as a book or their phone, to get them through the initial discomfort.

The complexity of mental turmoil is huge.
When someone is struggling, it’s most likely all they can do to make it through the day.
Which can be really god damn isolating.

Have you been there before?
I know I have.

If you have a friend who you were close to and then they suddenly disappeared from your life, reach out to them.
It’s never awkward to tell someone you’re thinking about them.
Let’s not ignore mental illness, let’s be a part of a proactive caring community.

Also, if you are struggling and feeling isolated, tell someone! A network of support can be a text or a phone call away.

This summer I’m teaching a class at called Whimsy and Wellness. Today was the first day of the summer semester- I’m teaching wellness through a variety of senses. For today’s class, I brought several items from my garden to explain how plants can foster a sense of wellness by engaging several senses at once!
Pictured: several plant cuttings from a garden arranged on a tea towel.
