As we wrap up our February focus on love in action, we’re grateful for the ways this community has leaned into empathy, connection, and care over the past few weeks.

Every listening ear, thoughtful gesture, and moment of understanding helps create a more supportive world for our children and teens.

Thank you for being part of the NFRC community — and for helping us carry these practices forward long after February ends.

Real Stories. Real Support

Kids and teens in NFRC programs tell us they feel more confident, more connected, and more supported — and parents see the difference.

“My son feels more confident about navigating the situation.”
“My daughters see that others are going through similar experiences.”
“The materials and guidance are amazingly supportive.”

NFRC's virtual programs give children and teens a safe place to understand big feelings, build coping skills, and know they’re not alone.

Virtual Support That Feels Personal

Empathy doesn’t just happen in person — it shows up in virtual spaces too.

In our online programs, children and teens connect with clinicians who listen, encourage, and help them feel understood. These moments of support can make a real difference.

If your child or teen could benefit from a safe space to talk, learn skills, and feel heard, we’re here.

This month, we’ve been talking about love in action — the everyday empathy that helps children and teens feel understood, supported, and emotionally safe.

Our programs are one way families can put that empathy into practice.

🧒 KidsConnex (ages 7–12)
Helps children whose parents have made the decision not to be together. Kids learn to name feelings, understand family changes, and build healthy coping skills — all grounded in connection and emotional safety.

💬 TeensConnex (ages 13–18)
Provides a supportive space for teens navigating the separation, divorce, or breakup of their parents’ relationship. Teens explore emotions, strengthen communication, and learn strategies that help them feel heard and understood.

🧠 Reaching for Resilience (ages 12–18)
Open to all preteens and teens. This program helps youth understand stress, shift negative thinking, and build resilience — skills that grow from empathy for themselves and others.

When families practice empathy, kids and teens feel less alone. Our programs are here to support that journey.

In yesterday’s post, we talked about love in action — the small, meaningful ways we show care, empathy, and connection in our families and communities.

These moments don’t have to be big to make an impact. Sometimes love in action looks like:
• Checking in on someone who’s having a hard time
• Offering help to a neighbor
• Listening without rushing to fix
• Sharing appreciation at home
• A kind note to a teacher, coach, or friend

These simple gestures help children and teens feel seen, supported, and emotionally safe.

We’d love to hear from you.
What’s one way you’ve shown “love in action” recently — or seen someone else do it? Your stories inspire our community.

We’re almost halfway through February, but it’s never too late to lean into this month’s theme: love in action — the empathy, kindness, and connection that strengthen families and communities.

Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be sharing simple ways families can practice empathy at home, support emotional growth, and build stronger connections with the people around them.

Thanks for being part of the NFRC community and helping us spread love in action. And, don't forget to explore our programs and register today: www.nfrchelp.org
