As the weather warms up, ticks become more active. Tick bites can lead to multiple tick illnesses including Alpha-gal syndrome, a condition that is becoming more prominent. When you’re spending time outside this season, we encourage you to:

✅ Wear lighter colored long sleeves and pants when possible
✅ Use permethrin tick repellent on clothing and skin repellants with DEET or picaridin
✅ Check yourself, kids, and pets thoroughly after being outdoors
✅ Shower soon after spending time in wooded or grassy areas
