It's always a good time to start an intentional examination of your relationship with alcohol. There's so much at stake in every area of your health.

📢 Community Health Update: Alcohol Use Trends Are Shifting

New data from Gallup shows a major shift in how Americans view and consume alcohol, especially among young adults and women.

🔍 Key Findings:
• Only 54% of U.S. adults now say they drink alcohol, the lowest rate Gallup has recorded since 1939
• For the first time, a majority (53%) believe even moderate drinking (1–2 drinks/day) is harmful to health
• Alcohol use is down sharply among women and young adults (ages 18–34)
• Drinking rates fell 19 points among Republicans, while rates among Democrats held steady

📉 Among those who still drink:
• Just 24% had a drink in the past 24 hours
• The average number of weekly drinks dropped to 2.8, the lowest in nearly 30 years

🧠 What This Means for Our Community:
These trends reflect growing awareness around alcohol’s health risks. As more people prioritize wellness and prevention, even moderate drinking is being reconsidered.
