🎉 A Tradition of Celebration & Longevity 🎉

At Columbia Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, we believe in celebrating our people in more than just words. For almost 5 years, our Administrator Tony Hamrick has kept a special tradition — taking the Department Heads out for a monthly birthday lunch at a nice restaurant, honoring whoever is celebrating that month.

Today, we celebrated our amazing Business Office Manager, Tammy Reed 🎂💐!

This simple yet meaningful tradition is part of what makes our team so strong. With little to no department head turnover and some team members serving over 30 years, it’s proof that when you invest in people, they invest in you. ❤️

🍓🍑 Fresh Fruit & Fresh Air! 🍉🍿

Last week, our amazing Activity Director Bernice Preston took some of our wonderful residents on a sweet little outing to Country Tyme Fruitstand in Hattiesburg, MS.

From fresh fruit and homemade jelly to fair-style popcorn and a little shopping, the day was filled with laughter, smiles, and plenty of tasty treats! 🛍️🧡

It’s outings like these that remind us — life’s sweetest moments are often the simplest ones. 🍎

Meet Julie Walker Tator from Gentiva Hospice 🧡. No matter the event, big or small, or whenever our amazing Activity Director, Bernice Preston, calls for help — Julie shows up with a smile, a helping hand, and a heart for our residents.

🎉 Exciting News from Columbia Rehab! 🎉One of our wonderful residents, Franky Wingate, could hardly contain his excitement today—he received a brand-new power wheelchair! His joy was absolutely contagious as he cruised down the hallways with the biggest smile on his face. 🦽✨This new mobility device will open up so many opportunities for increased independence and participation in daily activities. We are so proud to support him on his journey and can’t wait to see all the places he’ll go!Here’s to new beginnings and empowered living! 💪💙

🍦✨ Sweet Celebrations at Columbia Rehabilitation & Healthcare! ✨🍦

Today our residents took a sunny break under the pavilion to celebrate National Vanilla Ice Cream Day AND Sprinkle Day — because one sweet holiday just isn’t enough! 😄

With bowls full of creamy vanilla ice cream, rainbow sprinkles, and all their favorite toppings, the smiles were just as sweet as the treats.

“You scream, I scream, we all scream… we LOVE vanilla ice cream!” 🍨🎉

Moments like these remind us that joy is found in the little things — sunshine, laughter, and a whole lot of sprinkles. 🌈☀️

🎉 Happy 41st Birthday, Naji Cain! 🎉

Today we celebrated another very special birthday — our amazing resident, Naji Cain, turned 41! 🥳 While he’s here with us for rehabilitation, Naji has truly become part of our family. His kind spirit, positive attitude, and warm smile bring joy to everyone around him.

Naji keeps the energy up on A Wing — whether he’s vibing to his favorite artist Lil Baby 🎶 or serving as the self-appointed wing DJ (like it or not! 😄), he always knows how to keep things lively.

We’re grateful to be on this journey of healing and strength with him and honored to celebrate another year of his incredible life. 💙
