Important repost from the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society - WOCN:

Nurses are the backbone of healthcare in the U.S., yet the Department of Education may use 1960s-era definitions of "professional" and "graduate" degrees to determine loan limits, leading to the further erosion of the nursing workforce.
This move stems from an effort to rein in student loan debt and tuition costs as part of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act; however, it means that post-baccalaureate nursing students would only be eligible for half the amount of federal loans as graduate medical students.

On the last day of Ostomy Awareness Month, I wanted to share Alex McPherson’s story. Thank you to all of our members and friends for what you do everyday to provide ostomy care and support. Regardless of what team we cheer for from the stands, we’re all on the same team when it comes to ostomy care and patient care!

Alex McPherson was an All-SEC kicker for Auburn football, and had to battle ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease to make a heart-warming return.
