How Turmeric Helps Heal

Growing up in India my mother put raw turmeric in to every meal, making it a significant part of my life. Now I am turning my passion an and knowledge about raw turmeric into a convenient way for everyone to lead a healthy lifestyle.

I have been incorporating Turmeric into my families diet for years. It has been used in Indian cuisine and Ayurveda medicine for thousands of years. Ayurveda is the ancient Indian system of medicine. It has recently been accepted in more main stream natural health as well as been the subject of scientific studies.

Turmeric has the compound curcumin which is a very powerful and natural anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant. Inflammation has been tied to many chronic conditions including arthritis, alzheimer’s, heart disease, MS, cancer, among others. It has been commonly accepted that inflammation is at the root of many of today’s most wide spread concerns.

Raw Roots Turmeric creates products based on raw turmeric roots. By using the root you are able to get all the nutritional value of the plant without losing the healing properties though cooking, pealing, grinding and drying. Raw Turmeric is more available so that we can use it more readily and effectively. Using powered turmeric or overcooking turmeric reduces the active ingredient curcumin by 85% and results in a loss of the essential oils.
