It's Fall Equinox, a day when nature can inspire me to find balance. But first--what's out of balance? Where can I take more care? And just as important, where can I take less care, be in the moment, and allow joy to surprise me? Happy Fall to you!

Today I want to thank you, my Facebook friends, and everyone who has treated me as a friend. I need to experience kindness so I can show kindness to myself, my family, my friends, and my patients. I so appreciate your kindness to me and also your kindness to everyone in your life. Please join me in appreciating you!

Happy New Year, the classic time for resolutions. Today I'm thinking about this: What can I be grateful for about myself? How can I show myself more appreciation? How might I be more at peace with myself? How would I think, feel and act if I were my own best friend? Please remember that you and I--each of us--is an irreplaceable light in the world.

Our Story

Dr. Sue Overkamp became interested in healing arts when her children were young. Because of the generosity of her doctor (a mother of 10), she (a mother of 5) learned how to keep her kids healthy by using acupressure, muscle balancing, and nutrition—all things she could do at home. Later she learned taiji and qigong, began teaching them in 1998, and still practices these powerful self-healing arts. Grateful that she has had the opportunity to have both a Western and an Eastern medical education, she is passionate about learning health, wholeness and healing with her patients, who are her best teachers. She is boarded in family medicine and acupuncture.
