Q&A with Dr. Blake🙋🏻‍♂️We get asked all the time if there is a specific adjustment that can help stimulate labor. Dr. Blake gives his answer 👆.While there isn’t a specific adjustment that can help get labor going, multiple studies have found that women experience a 24-25% shorter labor after consistent chiropractic care during their first pregnancy (31-39% for reaccuring pregnancies). Here’s some natural methods for stimulating labor: 🌿Try eating 3-6 Medjool dates a day: When done in the 3rd trimester, dates can promote cervical ripening and reduce the need for induction 🌿Take Evening Primrose Oil: Contains prostaglandins that help to ripen your cervix. Make sure to take orally rather than vaginally🌿 Drinking castor oil: Drinking castor oil on or the week before your due date can help stimulate labor. The recommended dosage is 2 oz. (Do not do if you’ve had a C section)🌿Clary sage, thyme & clove: These oils naturally cause most women to start having uterine contractions. Best used through diffusing. As always, please consult your medical provider before trying any of these methods. We do not guarantee that they will work and do not suggest or advise you to do them without prior medical consent with your healthcare provider.

What is Pregnancy Pain Relief

Pregnancy Pain Relief is a collective group of natural, drug free treatments designed to alleviate pain specific to pregnancy. It is centrally located in Susquehanna Spine and Joint Center serving the Lancaster, York and Harrisburg Area.

Pregnancy Pain Relief’s unique treatments were derived from the chiropractic, physical therapy, and massage fields and modified to address the pregnant women’s changing physiology that results in the pain associated pregnancy.
