University of Missouri Family Medicine Residency The MU Family Medicine Residency is an ACGME-accredited program that welcomes 14 new residents per year to help them become well-rounded family physicians

The University of Missouri (MU) Family Medicine Residency was established more than 50 years ago. Since 1975, our program has graduated 502 physicians who serve in diverse settings in 41 states across the country, plus Canada, England, Africa, and the Philippines.

● For nearly 30 years, US News and World Report has recognized us as one of the nation's top graduate programs.

● 4 continuity clinic sites allow residents the choice to serve urban underserved, suburban, or rural patient populations during residency.

● Our 10,000 square foot Simulation Center has more than 15 years experience in resident education.

● MU Healthcare is a strategic partner with the Cerner Corporation, meaning increased accessibility to state-of-the-art tools and technologies that promote concepts key to the Patient-Centered Medical Home

✨Resident Spotlight✨ next up in our double feature is Dr Kelly Moore!!! (Natasha and Kelly are residency partners)

I’m from Bradford, OH, went to Ohio State for undergrad (O-H!) and Ohio University for med school. My fiancé is from Missouri, so I happened to look at programs out here and fell in love with Mizzou!

Residency clinic: South Prov

Medical interests : Maternal child health, women’s health, pediatrics, OB, preventative medicine, OMT

Favorite karaoke song - (Ive also never done karaoke, Natasha and I will work on this) If I had to choose, Piano Man by Billy Joel

Hobbies: Hanging out with my fiancé and our mini dachshund, Woodstock!, exploring local farmers, cheering on my favorite sports teams (especially Buckeye football and the Royals!), reading, peloton, random arts and crafts and cooking and baking!

Fun fact : I’ve watched the ball drop in person on NYE in NYC!

✨Resident Spotlight✨ We have a double feature for you this week and first up is our very own Dr Natasha LaGrega !!!

I grew up in the Kansas City area, and actually went to KU for both my undergraduate degree & medical school. Though I’ve been a Jayhawk for 8 years I’m really proud to be a mizzou Tiger now! I couples matched to residency with my fiancé who is in the neurology program.

Residency clinic: Compass, I love working at this clinic for the unique social supports we can offer our patients. We also see the most women’s health & peds patients!

Medical interests: point of care ultrasound, women’s health, pediatrics, OB, gender affirming care, lifestyle medicine

Favorite karaoke song- (I have never done karaoke 😅) I think I would go for “don’t stop believin” by Journey!

Hobbies: dance (specifically ballroom), yoga, cooking, wandering Trader Joe’s for self care, and spending lots of time with my golden retriever, cats, and chickens 🐣

Fun fact: my fiancé is Nepalese and his mother often makes us traditional Nepali food including momo’s (Nepali dumplings)! We love to share her food with friends.
