Dr. Jeff Jones and his team’s professional interests include fitting patients with some of the latest in breathable Monthly Replacement, Multifocal, and Astigmatism Contact Lenses. We are also proponents of the increasingly popular use of Daily Disposable Contact lenses, also available in Single Vision, Multifocal and Astigmatism modalities and the health benefits they offer.
OUR LOCATION: 2901 West Broadway, Suite 101 - Columbia, Missouri 65203 (Fairview Eyecare is
located inside Eyemart Express in the Fairview Market Place).
NOTE: We are looking for one full-time technician (36 - 40 hours/week).
Note: You must be available to work at least two Saturdays per month.
YOUR MISSION:
You will be assisting our doctor in the care of our patients. Your work responsibilities will include testing patients' visual acuity, depth perception, pressure inside of the eye, color vision and pupil reflexes. In addition, you will prepare exam schedules, ready exam rooms, clean ocular equipment and other duties as needed. You will collect eye health data and enter it into our electronic medical record system (EMR). You will also teach contact lens insertion & removal and care.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL/ADMINISTRATIVE COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma/GED is a MUST, Associate’s degree is better.
Some experience in an optical/eye care facility is a plus.
Good math, reading and writing skills.
An eye for details.
Experience working in a high-pace work environment.
Willing to learn and to grow on the job.

OFFERED SALARY AND OTHER COMPENSATIONS:
Depending on your experience, the starting salary is $10-$13/hour, plus commissions & bonuses that can reach $200 + per month, depending on personal and office production. We also offer flexible schedule.
Note: You must be available to work at least two Saturdays per month.
