Just a little bit of family-run medical office humor for today…

So I go back to our exam room after just seeing a patient to change the patient chair covering and sanitize it for the next patient when I see this.

Me: Hon, did you turn the lights out in the exam room? We have more patients this afternoon.

My Dear Husband (Dr. T): Oh I just do that automatically!

Me: Ummmm, so why do I need to turn off every light 💡 you put on in our home every time you leave a room…🤣🤣🤣

It’s been a joy to talk to our patients about the nutrition that’s right for them based on their medical profile. So educating them about nutrition tweaks and swaps that fit their lifestyle and health needs is what we initiate, but having them come back at a later follow-up appointment to gauge their progress, witnessing their amazing advancement along with giving us their new found healthy eating tips IS WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT!!

This dish covers all the bases for battling metabolic syndrome, that’s the broad umbrella labeling for hypertension, abdominal fat excess, insulin resistance, high triglycerides and elevated lipids. The lean protein of the mild whitefish (cod) with the high fiber of butter beans, spinach, and sweet peppers along with the anti- inflammatory properties of leeks and garlic make this a winner dinner that hits all the health notes and tastes fabulous!
