October is National Physical Therapy Month, an opportunity for us to recognize all the members of our inpatient and outpatient therapy teams.

Maury Regional Physical Therapy is proud to offer eight outpatient therapy locations throughout southern Middle Tennessee as well as inpatient therapy services at our hospitals. Our therapy professionals have advanced training and certifications in an array of specialty areas, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, pediatric therapy and others.

Marshall Medical Center was recently award a three-year term of accreditation in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) following a review by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is only awarded to facilities meeting ACR practice parameters and technical standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs are assessed.

The Heart Failure Support Group meets on the last Tuesday (10/28) of each month beginning in February. It will meet from 5PM to 6PM at the Maury Regional Annex conference room across the street from the hospital.

October's topic: Stress Prevention

Don't forget that Maury Regional Health, in partnership with Maury County Sheriff’s Office and Maury County Prevention Coalition, is hosting a free drug take-back event TODAY, Saturday, Oct. 25. This is a safe and convenient way to dispose of expired or unneeded prescription medications.

A convenient drive-thru will be available for medication drop-off along with family-friendly activities and a complimentary lunch provided by community partners.

Join us for a fun and meaningful event that helps keep our homes and community safe!
