SURPRISE!!! So excited to announce my dear friend,Lizzy, is joining us at Rooster's Health Store . Hi, my name is Lizzy! I’m a newly licensed massage therapist and my journey toward massage therapy has been shaped by both my love of movement and my own experiences with healing. Out of high school, I cheered for Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas, where I first became deeply in tune with my body. Shortly after, I was diagnosed with celiac disease, and in the years that followed, I not only navigated my health and education but also survived meningitis, which resulted in a stroke. Through dedication and holistic healing, I’ve been able to recover and restore my body, even finding remission in my celiac disease.

My medical background as a CNA and nursing student gave me a strong foundation in healthcare, but my true calling led me to the Body Therapy Center and School of Massage, where I graduated. I believe in healing from the inside out and am passionate about helping others find relief, balance, and restoration in their own bodies. I’m so excited to begin this journey and to help as many people as I can through the art of massage.

💛 Massage for a Cause: Supporting Ian & April 💛

This one hits close to home — because it’s family.
My cousin April and her husband Ian are walking through a storm no one prepares for. In just a few months, their world has turned upside down.

Ian, the main provider for their household, has faced one life-threatening complication after another:
💔 Emergency heart surgery with 3 stents
🦠 A rare, flesh-eating bacterial infection (Fournier’s gangrene) that led to sepsis and multiple surgeries
🩺 A colostomy, kidney stent, and constant high fevers — all requiring hospital transfers and intensive care
And he’s still not out of the woods.

Meanwhile, April — who is already totally disabled and reliant on oxygen 24/7 — has been trying to hold things together while not having income.They are exhausted, in pain, and just need a break to breathe.

So here’s how I’m turning my massage work into something bigger:
