Ashley Young, M.A.- Counselor/Therapist

Ashley Young, M.A.- Counselor/Therapist It’s a privilege to be a part of one's therapeutic process and to bear witness to your successful and positive change.

As a therapist, I provide a non-judgmental and safe place that allows you to process your feelings, identify healthy coping skills, and maintain an environment that allows us to work together to find your way through difficult times. My scope of work includes, but is not limited to, working with individuals suffering from depression; addressing emotional growth and development, conflict resolution, anxiety, blended family conflict, and sexual trauma; and establishing effective communication. Finding inner healing is a journey, and I hope that you will take me along with you. On a personal note, I'm a proud Veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom-Afghanistan. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, giving back to the community, and enhancing my gardening skills. Started Counseling: 2008

Today, we pause to honor and thank every Veteran who has selflessly served our nation — standing in the gap for freedom, unity, and peace. 🇺🇸

First stop; IHOP for my red white and blue pancakes 😊

As both a proud Veteran and a Veteran’s spouse, this day holds special meaning for me. I’ve seen firsthand the courage, sacrifice, and resilience it takes — not only from those in uniform, but from the families who serve alongside them.

To my fellow service members, past and present: thank you for your strength, your sacrifice, and your steadfast commitment to something greater than yourselves.

Let us continue to serve our communities, uplift one another, and carry forward the spirit of honor and dedication that defines military service.

✨Grateful.✨

Every week, this space holds stories, tears, laughter, and moments of healing. It’s a safe place where courage shows up in the form of vulnerability and growth blooms.

Today’s word of the day is grateful — for every heart that’s opened up in this room, every story that’s been shared, and every step toward wholeness that’s been taken.

I truly love what I do. 💛

🎓 Congratulations, Nikki! 🎉

We’re thrilled to celebrate Shani “Nikki” on the completion of her Marriage and Family Therapy program!

Nikki and I first met years ago through our partnership with a local church, where she provided referrals for counseling. Even then, her compassion and wisdom were unmistakable. Nikki came to this field as a non-traditional graduate, bringing years of counseling experience through her work in ministry. She has a remarkable gift for helping families navigate relational challenges with grace and understanding.

We’re so glad she chose to formalize her experience through her degree and internship here at Everyday Wellness. To know Nikki is to know that she truly has a heart for people — and that heart shines in everything she does.

It has been such a pleasure to serve as her clinical supervisor, and we can’t wait to welcome her back in the new year as she continues her journey toward becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. 💚

Congratulations again, Nikki — we’re so proud of you!

✨ This weekend I had the pleasure of facilitating a powerful discussion with military spouses during a spouse retreat. ✨

We explored the unique challenges that come with supporting a loved one in uniform—balancing resilience, identity, and community while navigating the ups and downs of military life. What stood out most was the strength in the room: stories of perseverance, the importance of connection, and the reminder that no one has to walk this journey alone. 💛

As a clinician, soldier, and fellow community member, I am always honored to hold space for these conversations. Military families are the backbone of service, and investing in their wellness is investing in the health of the entire force.

Too often we beat ourselves up about where we “should be” in life or what we “should have” accomplished by now. As we navigate through life we have to come to the realization that life does not have a perfect timeline for life’s achievements. The moment we accept the truth the more weight will be lifted and a world of possibilities will begin to appear.

Meet yourself where you are and keep growing.

Grant yourself permission to be right where you are on this journey.
