Winter can feel a bit long, so it’s a good time to check in on your senior loved one’s energy. πŸ’™ Here are a few gentle ways to help make sure they feel supported:

1️⃣ Notice Changes – Encourage a gentle pause to observe shifts in energy, mood, or daily routines, which can help you spot when extra care may be needed.

2️⃣ Adjust Routines – When energy dips, consider modifying their day with shorter walks, lighter chores, or more flexible schedules to keep them engaged yet refreshed.

3️⃣ Prioritize Rest – Ensure they have time to recharge with afternoon breaks, earlier bedtimes, or quiet moments to restore motivation and mood.

4️⃣ Plan Small Moments to Look Forward To – Little joys like a favorite warm drink, a call with a loved one, or a cozy reading session can be uplifting.

5️⃣ Comfort Keepers Support – Our caregivers help seniors stay active, engaged, and safe, providing personalized support even during low-energy periods.

If you know someone who could use a boost this season, share this post to spread the love and support. ☺️

We were truly honored that Comfort Keepers was asked to assist with Night to Shine this year. Our amazing, talented caregivers showed up in a BIG way to support such a special evening, and we couldn’t be more proud of the heart they bring to our community every single day.
