This has been hanging over me since Sat night and I think the message belongs here. Hang in with me:

I was having a *great* 🖤♥️🐔 time at the game. Before the half, I went to the concession stand. There was a drunk man in line behind me, roughly the same age. He introduced himself and struck up a conversation. I didn’t want to be rude to a fellow gamecock so I was polite but not overly friendly (and stone cold sober). He name-dropped a famous alum who I’ve met only because of one-degree of separation with some friends. He acted like he knew them too (which I doubt).

Then he started…complimenting me, being suggestive, arguably “hitting” on me. By the time (a long time) I reached the service counter he was moving in physically—I had to push him back to keep him from embracing me as he overtly propositioned me. I told him back off and act like his wife is watching. 👀

Folks, THIS is systemic SEXISM.

DO NOT think it doesn’t exist or that it’s a thing of the past!! I can honestly say that I tend to give off “don’t F with me vibes” and I as much as said that to him. AND he was still just that bold. I would think my generation would be smarter than that. (And he is 6 years younger.)
