A new year means new options for weight loss medications. The first oral GLP-1 approved by the FDA is now available. Users might be able to avoid the shot now, but it doesn’t mean they can skip some of the side effects.

“The pill and injectable form of Wegovy have similar side effects. The most common side effects are gastrointestinal, i.e. nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea,” says Dr. Jean Park, endocrinologist.

Read more in the comments via Men's Health and find out what Dr. Park recommends for tackling potential side effects.

As we begin the new year, we’re reflecting on the incredible opportunity our sports medicine team had to support last year’s Army–Navy Game at M&T Bank Stadium—truly one of the highlights of 2025.

We’re grateful to both programs for trusting us with the care of such a historic matchup! 🏈

When seconds matter, knowing the signs of a stroke can save a life. ❤️

While sitting in a mall parking lot, 8-year-old Kyrin noticed something wasn’t right. His mom, Keisha, had facial drooping, and when Kyrin asked for her phone to take a picture, she couldn’t move her arm to hand it to him.

Kyrin remembered the BEFAST signs of stroke. Realizing his mom was in serious danger, he acted quickly and called his dad, setting life-saving care in motion. Keisha was rushed to MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, where Dr. Paul Singh, neurovascular surgeon, and our team delivered an emergency stroke response. She was treated for a rare condition called carotid webbing, and today, she’s fully recovered.

Recently, Keisha and her family returned to the very lab where her life was saved—this time to celebrate Kyrin. We honored him with a cape bearing his name and recognized him as a hero for helping to save his mom’s life.
