✨Celebrating Ruth’s Retirement✨

Ruth joined Hawthorne in November 1983, just as pharmacy records were moving from card stock to computers. She quickly became known for her knowledge, humor, and care—whether typing labels on a typewriter, managing waiver billing, or reminding coworkers to “fill in every blank” since she didn’t have a crystal ball.

Over the years, Ruth wore many hats—pharmacy tech, medical equipment billing, and customer care specialist. She helped grow our waiver program from fewer than 275 clients to more than 500, always treating each person like family.

Her coworkers will fondly remember the laughter she brought, from black streamers and ADLs decorating her desk on her 40th birthday to the crystal ball she was “presented” for her attention to detail.

Through ownership changes and new technology, Ruth has remained steady in her dedication to serving our community. After more than 40 years, she is retiring at 67, ready to see “what God’s next adventure” will be.

Thank you, Ruth, for your decades of service and the love you’ve poured into Hawthorne and our customers. You will be dearly missed!
