StoryPoint Gahanna North celebrated Gorgeous Grandma Day. According to the National Day Calendar, "this is a day to recognize the beauty, wisdom and vibrancy" of our grandma's. We provided our grandma's the opportunity to have their hair done by our beautician, have make up applied by a beauty pageant winner, and pick out some fun accessories. They then enjoyed a photoshoot with our LE Director. Look at these beauties, inside and out!

2nd Annual Cottages Cookout was the perfect was to spend the afternoon. We beat the rain, and enjoyed getting to know each other, especially our new residents.Thank you Chef Casey for being our Grill Master! Burgers and hot dogs grilled to perfection.

We spent the morning at Shepherds Corner Ecology Center run by the Dominicans Sisters of Peace. We learned how they are teaching children and adults about how to protect the environment, and the wonder of nature. We got to feed carrots to their sheep and Alpaca, Maggie. We explored their labyrinth and saw butterflies, dragonflies, and other bugs. We learned about bees, and the wetland that they watch over.

StoryPoint Gahanna North had a "groovy" time at our Summer '60s Bash. We wore our bell bottoms, flowers in our hair, round glasses, and peace signs everywhere! We feasted on appetizers popular in the late '60s: potato skins, shrimp cocktail, and cheese balls (made by the residents). Wonderful music provided by Scott Brooks! And, Kona Ice was a great sweet, cold treat on this steamy day!
