Kindness CanSpread like wildfire!!! Try It !!!
A business owner called the police. "There's a homeless guy sitting on the curb out front. It looks bad for business. Make him move."
Officer Dan arrived. He saw "Old Joe," a local homeless veteran, sitting quietly, not bothering anyone.
Joe looked up, expecting to be kicked out. He started to gather his few belongings.
"Sit down, Joe," Officer Dan said.
Dan went to his patrol car. He didn't grab handcuffs. He grabbed two brown bag lunches.
He walked back and sat right down on the dirty concrete curb next to Joe.
"I'm on break," Dan said, handing Joe a sandwich. "And I hate eating alone."
For 30 minutes, the officer and the homeless man ate lunch side-by-side, watching the traffic.
The business owner watched from the window, shamed into silence.
"He's a citizen too," Dan told the owner later. "And he was hungry."
To protect and serve includes serving kindness. π₯ͺπ
