๐ฅ๐โค๏ธ Wow - what an incredible story!!! This is one to surely touch your heart. โค๏ธ๐๐ฅ
Can you imagine living out your personal dream?
For Linda R. (a 1954 Graduate of Grove City High School) of StoryPoint Pickerington, lived hers by throwing out the first pitch at the Annual Softball Tournament at Fryer Park in Grove City, Ohio. The tournament is held the last weekend of July, and thousands gather in Grove City for this event. Linda was selected to pitch to "Iron Horse" Russ Evans at 5:45pm on Diamond 3 at the park.
Linda began this spectacular moment by first making her way to the StoryPoint Pickerington Hair Salon, then the Lobby to be greeted by fellow Residents and Staff who sported personalized signs for her journey to the mound. Her face said it all as she thanked everyone for their well-wishes and cheers. ๐
It was then off to the field where she mingled with friends before showtime. She was thrilled to see everyone!
When the time came for the pitch, Linda didn't hesitate, and well, showed everyone she had it handled: right down the center!
Her smile ran cheek to cheek as everyone cheered in excitement! Go Linda!!! ๐
Staff who witnessed the event, as well as spectators couldn't have been happier for her. It was a dream come true!
As she gathered herself and made her way off the field, she left the crowd well-pleased. It was the best way to kick off such a fantastic event.
Back at the shelter house, Linda celebrated with fellowship, and a shot of Crown Royal! (see last photo.) ๐ฅ
We'd like to thank everyone who made this possible for Linda, and for those who came to watch something so iconic.
It was a great day indeed. โ
๐ GO LINDA! We're glad we could share this special day with you. ๐
Love,
