The Coventry held an “Evening at the Improv”! We welcomed an improv comedy group called The Bunsen Burnouts, comprised of students from the Hashtag Comedy-Columbus, OH. The group had our residents laughing (a lot!) and welcoming audience participation! 🤣🎭

🌿A big thanks to Elaine Lyons and BrightStar Care Columbus NW / E for an amazing Plant-n-Sip Craft day at The Coventry! Our green thumbs got some much-needed exercise while creating beautiful plant masterpieces! It was such a joy to connect, create, and sip together.

At The Coventry, we’re always looking for ways to support relaxation, cognitive wellness, and community connection—and our new puzzle stations are doing just that! Residents have been enjoying the challenge and satisfaction of working together on beautiful jigsaw puzzles. Whether it’s a cozy solo activity or a shared project with neighbors, puzzle time has become a new favorite around the community.

There’s more to puzzles than just fun—they’re also great for the mind!

Residents at The Coventry received a valuable and informative presentation today on Fraud Prevention, courtesy of Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost. From identity theft to scam awareness, we learned how to stay vigilant and protect ourselves and our personal information. A big thank you to the speaker and the Ohio Attorney General’s team for empowering our community with knowledge and tools for safety.

At The Coventry, giving back is always close to our hearts. Last week, residents came together to make and pack 50 sack lunches for Jordan's Crossing, a local shelter serving those in need. From assembling sandwiches to carefully packing snacks and heartfelt notes, everyone pitched in to lend a hand.

Today at The Coventry, it was all about connection—and what an unforgettable one it was.

Our resident Sam Eaton, a 101-year-old former British Royal Air Force fighter pilot from WWII, met a very special guest for lunch: Ray Cunningham, a 100-year-old U.S. Air Force pilot who also served in WWII. From the moment they shook hands, it was like old friends reuniting.

For two incredible hours, they swapped war stories, shared cherished photos and diaries, and laughed over memories from decades ago. It was truly an honor to witness this meeting of two heroes—brought together by history and bonded through friendship.

Here’s to connection, courage, and conversations that span a century. 🇬🇧🇺🇸✈️
