This past weekend we also had the incredible opportunity to celebrate with our dear friends at the Nebraska Women Veterans Symposium in Kearney, where we had the honor to present the check for the funds raised during our summer anniversary fundraiser 🎉💰.

We had heard stories about the power in that room—but experiencing it firsthand was something else entirely. The strength, resilience, and unity we felt among these women were truly astounding 💪.

What made this moment truly unforgettable was seeing just how deeply your support touched everyone in the room ❤️. By choosing to stand behind this cause and helping us raise these funds, you’ve supported a mission that uplifts, empowers, and creates real change 🙌.

We walked away with hearts full ❤️ and souls deeply moved ✨. Thank you to the Nebraska Women Veterans Symposium for welcoming us in 🙏. Thank you to each of you who gave your support to this cause 💫. And thank you to each of you ladies sitting at those tables who have provided your service through your sacrifices and continue to come together to pave a better, healthier, and happier future for women veterans across Nebraska ❤️🤍💙.

💜 Northeast Nebraska Walk to End Alzheimer’s — A Day That Took Our Breath Away 💜

What an incredible day! Yesterday we had the privilege of sponsoring, attending, and walking in the Northeast Nebraska Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and we’re still feeling all the emotions. 💫

From the very beginning at Skyview Park, the energy was 🔥. Friends, neighbors, families — came together with one powerful mission: to push for an end to Alzheimer’s. This isn’t just a walk — it’s a moment of unity, hope, and purpose. 💪🧠

There was laughter, there were tears, and above all, there was togetherness. 💜 Being sgurrounded by so many people walking for their loved ones, for caregivers, and for future generations — it was truly moving.

We are so proud to have been part of this event. It reminds us why we walk — because Alzheimer’s impacts lives, and together, we fight back. 🧡

Didn't Get to Join Us or Donate? No Worries! 😄

We’ve got more walks coming up, and we would love for you to be part of them. Come walk with us! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

💜 THIS is why we WALK TO END ALZHEIMER'S. 💜

Each and every one of us has felt the weight of Alzheimer’s. Whether it’s a parent 👨‍👩‍👧, a grandparent 👵👴, a spouse 💑, a friend 👯, or a neighbor 🏡 — we know someone whose life has been changed forever by this devastating disease.

Recently, we hosted a powerful activity where participants wrote down one thing about their loved one with Alzheimer’s that they cherish the most — a personality trait, a memory 📸, a favorite saying 📝, a smile 😊. The room filled with stories of warmth ❤️, humor 🤗, strength 💪, and love 💖. And it reminded us:

🟣 THIS is why we walk. 🟣

🚶 We walk for the dad who told the best stories.
🚶‍♀️ We walk for the grandmother whose hugs felt like home.
🚶‍♂️ We walk for the friend who lit up every room.
🚶‍♂️ We walk for the caregiver who shows up every single day with patience and love.
👟 We walk for the ONE WHOSE SONG HAS ENDED, BUT THEIR MELODY LINGERS ON

When we walk, we honor them all. 🙏

We walk to demand better care 🏥.
We walk to raise awareness 📣.
We walk to provide more support 🤝 for families.
We walk to fuel the research 🔬 that will one day bring a cure 💊🧬.

💜 This fight is personal.

Come walk with us. 👣

🎉 We know you’ve been waiting… and the moment is finally here! 🎉

To celebrate our incredible milestone, our staff rolled up their sleeves and got creative in the Studio 208 Hot Shops Art Center 🔥— and the results are nothing short of amazing.

We’re thrilled to unveil the one-of-a-kind glass creations we made in the studio. ✨
Each of our team members got to walk away with a unique piece to commemorate such a great milestone for our team and not to mention a unique experience for the books!

Kent Broussard, a retired accountant in his mid-60s, fulfilled a lifelong dream by enrolling as a freshman at Louisiana State University (LSU) to join its famed Golden Band from Tigerland. His journey began in 1968 when he first saw the band perform as a child. Though he played the sousaphone in high school and college, life led him down a different path—career, family, and eventually retirement.
Broussard never let go of his dream, though. In 2023, he began training physically and musically, even marching through his neighborhood with a 30-pound sousaphone. He applied to LSU, auditioned, and earned a spot in the band. His debut during LSU’s 2025 football season opener drew national attention, with ESPN highlighting his story and the crowd at Tiger Stadium cheering as his image appeared on the jumbo screen.
Kent Broussard’s story reminds us that it’s never too late to chase what sets your soul on fire because, as Kent put it, "People retire, dreams don’t."
