Oasis Functional Wellness Therapy My name is Jeanne Lienhoop, owner and trainer for Oasis In-Home Senior Fitness.

I graduated from IU as a Doctor of Physical Therapy and have worked as a PT for the past 12 years. I’ve worked primarily as an outpatient PT with a focus in geriatrics, neuro rehab, and cancer rehab. My years of experience as a PT taught me many valuable things and was extremely rewarding. However, after years of watching clients improve during their therapy only to return months later due to a fall or a general decline, I realized that there is a huge need for ongoing fitness training beyond therapy. As a result, I have decided to leave the physical therapy world and have recently earned a certificate in personal training. I am starting my own personal training business focused on helping older adults and those with chronic conditions. I strive to develop tailored fitness programs that will focus on improving my client's strength, independence, and overall security to help them maintain their lifestyle and to safely age in place! I currently have some slots open for new clients! In general, I work with older adults with chronic conditions and/or mobility limitations. I provide wellness training to help fill the gap for folks recently (or soon to be) discharged from skilled physical therapy, whether that be due to goals being met, plateau in progress, insurance denials, etc. Feel free to message/call/text me with questions regarding services.

Many thanks today to my adorable little rehab tech, Anna. She got to help her grandma Bonnie work on some balance activities today!

Some really bad circumstances led to me helping cover a huge gap in care for miss Bonnie. BUT the flip side is that now I get to work concurrently with her home health therapy to provide a more intensive exercise program. This hilarious and spicy grandma is one of the highlights of my week now!

Meet my dear friend Diana. Diana was initially referred to me by her primary PT to do some pre-op strengthening. When she had some minor difficulties after surgery, I was able to come and help her out again. Now, Diana continues to do great and is feeling better every day!

Today marks 2 years since starting this business venture I call Oasis. I am helping people stay strong and live a high quality life at home no matter what age or abilities they have! I am extremely grateful I get to do work that I love! But even more than that, I get to build friendships with some pretty amazing people along the way.

So thank you again to all my friends and family who’ve supported me and cheered me on over the past 2 years (including the always encouraging Diana☺️)! Cheers to many more years of helping people and building great friendships! 🥂 🎉
