March 4th is HPV Awareness Day. The HPV (Human papillomavirus) vaccine is recommended regardless of gender and is approved for people between the ages of 9-45. The vaccine is safe and effective in protecting against HPVs that lead to cancer. Check with your provider to see if the HPV vaccine is right for you.
