At this time, the airman medical certification process has not changed. All airman medical certification examinations must be performed face-to-face as specified in 14 CFR part 61.23. Virtual, online examinations are not permitted. The FAA will not be extending the expiration date of Airman Medical Certificates.

Through June 30, 2020, the FAA will not take legal enforcement action against any person serving as a required pilot flight crewmember or flight engineer based on noncompliance with medical certificate duration standards when expiration of the medical certificate occurs from March 31, 2020, through June 30, 2020—provided they are holders of an FAA-issued medical certificate serving as a required pilot flight crewmember or flight engineer within the United States.

Yes, we are still seeing patients. Masks are recommended. ONE pilot in waiting area and one in exam. There is a lounge area with pool table, TV, coffee and airport amenities while you wait

Yes. We are still seeing and certifying airmen. Air Traffic controllers seem to have a legit, 90-day non-rumor extension. Airmen/Pilots MIGHT have 30 days if the facility where there is an AME is not open. I am solo private-practice and I will see ANYONE needing medical certification at CMH Lane Aviation. obviously, stay home if you are ill.

Yes, we are actively open and seeing Airmen for medical certifications. Pilots, air traffic controllers and other FAA in aviation professionals need medical certifications in order to be compliant with federal regulations and keep this country moving and running even MORE now with the virus. we are using universal precautions and screening for flu-like symptoms.

We are no longer active at Rickenbacker anymore. All exams are now done in the Mansfield office.
