Well, the last week has been fairly uneventful. Waves of symptoms, unfortunately. Chemo won’t keep its ugly head buried. Went to the eye doctor yesterday and they are happy with progress but unfortunately, his vision in his left eye will never be the same. Hopefully it at least continues to get better.

Today has been a good day… he’s getting bored of staring at the same 4 walls though. Ready to get out. Unfortunately, due to the thickness of his blood he isn’t ready yet. Fingers crossed that it happens sooner rather than later.

The last few days have been uneventful! Playing the waiting game at this point. Waiting for his labs to return to normal, more specifically the thickness of his blood for his mechanical valve. He’s itching to get set free!!!

Today has been another good day! Spent some time outside for fresh air and sunshine! Starting his Coumadin regimen tonight in preparation for discharge! Fingers crossed that discharge happens in the next week!!

Yesterday was another great day in the books. The doctors were in this morning and said he’s the poster child for this treatment. The treatment team is very pleased with how well he is doing. They are even talking discharge within the next week!!! 🎉🥳🤩

Another great day! Received another unit of platelets last night. The doctors seem to think we’re on the downhill slide of the worst side effects. Now, rest, healing and strength is the priority!

Another transfusion of platelets and red blood cells today. But, overall he’s having a good day!

Today has been a better day! Finally getting a slight appetite back. Preparing for another platelet transfusion tonight.

Not much change today in his symptoms. He did require two transfusions, a unit of platelets and a unit of blood. This is due to the chemo depleting his system. But, this is also to be expected. Hoping for a better night of rest.

Today has been uneventful. Still nauseous and no appetite. But, overall doing okay!

Today has been a better day, thankfully!! Resting is the number one priority today.
