Our body has 3 main systems that help us keep our balance. 1. Vision-when our eyes are open and we are in the light, it helps with our balance. 2. Proprioception-knowing where our body is in space (feeling your feet on the floor). 3. Vestibular system in your inner ear. If any of these systems is compromised, your balance can be thrown off. If the inner ear is affected, walking in the dark or on uneven surfaces may be a challenge. This is something I can help with! Please reach out if you or someone you know has trouble with balance.
