Signs and symptoms of cervical cancer may include pain during s*x; lower back pain; constant fatigue; painful urination; and unusual vaginal discharge or bleeding.

These symptoms do not mean you have cervical cancer, but if you are experiencing any of them, you should see your healthcare provider about as soon as possible.

Early detection saves lives! Beginning at age 21, people with a cervix should receive routine HPV and Pap testing to detect cervical cancer early, when it is easier to treat.

Confused about which screening test to get? Talk to your healthcare provider about whether you need a Pap test, HPV test, or both.

Did you know that Cervical Cancer has two different tests for early detection?
1. The Pap test (Pap smear) looks for changes in cells on the cervix.

2. The Human Papillomavirus (HPV) test looks for the HPV infection that causes these cell changes.

Almost all Cervical Cancer is caused by HPV. Talk to your doctor to see if the HPV vaccine is right for you and your family.
