Halloween should be fun AND safe! Before heading out, make sure your child's costume checks these safety boxes:

🎃 Add reflective tape/stickers for visibility in the dark
🎃 Use face paint instead of masks that block vision
🎃 Provide glow sticks or flashlights
🎃 Choose the right size to prevent trips and falls
🎃 Pick sturdy, well-fitting shoes
🎃 Consider dropping an airtag in their candy bucket or affixing to their costume

Every child deserves a joyful and protected Halloween! For overall safety while trick-or-treating, help your child create a Lauren’s Kids P.L.A.N., visit https://bit.ly/4h6tBUP

🎃 Big kids need safety plans too!
Halloween is full of fun, costumes, parties, and time with friends.

It’s also a great chance to talk about what safety looks like as kids get more independence:

👻 Respecting boundaries at parties
🍬 Feeling confident saying no
🌙 Looking out for friends and themselves
📱 Knowing who to call if they need you

Safe doesn’t mean strict, it means supported. 💙
