Physical vs. Chemical Sunscreen — Which One Should You Use?

🧴 Physical (Mineral) Sunscreen:
• Active ingredients: Zinc oxide or titanium dioxide
• Sits on top of the skin and reflects UV rays
• Great for sensitive skin, starts working immediately
• May leave a slight white cast

🧪 Chemical Sunscreen:
• Absorbs into the skin and converts UV rays into heat
• Often feels lighter and blends easily
• Needs about 15-30 minutes to activate
• Can be irritating to sensitive or acne-prone skin

✅ Which SPF is Best?
• Go for SPF 30 or higher
• SPF 30 blocks ~97% of UVB rays
• SPF 50 blocks ~98% — a slight increase, but better for prolonged exposure
• Reapply every 2 hours, no matter the type!

☀️ Bottom Line: The best sunscreen is the one you’ll actually wear daily. Choose what works best for your skin type and lifestyle—then apply generously and consistently!
