Our Hawaiian Luau Happy Hour was a day full of joy and island vibes! Residents and staff alike enjoyed delicious Hawaiian-inspired food and a “special” Luau Punch that brought a taste of the tropics to our community. Some of our residents even showed up in authentic Hawaiian attire, adding an extra touch of aloha spirit. 🌴🍹
The room buzzed with laughter and lively conversations as memories of past vacations were shared. It was a truly memorable afternoon, celebrating the spirit of Hawaii together! 🌺🌞

It was an insightful and fun day at the 8000 Days of Retirement event yesterday at New Life Church in Gahanna! This gathering shed light on modern-day retirement, highlighting the 8000 days (or 20 years) many of us can look forward to enjoying after our careers.

We heard from an amazing panel of professionals in the older adult services field, including our very own Africa Thomas from Amber Park Senior Living. She shared such a positive outlook on the joy and convenience that senior living can offer.

A huge thank you to Miriam Bogard and her incredible team from Assisted Living Locators and Edward Jones for putting this FREE event together. The valuable information and perspectives shared made it a truly memorable experience!

Whether it's tossing a ball, bean bags, or even balloons, it's always a hit among the residents. It's a great way to stay active, improve coordination, and share plenty of laughs.

The Food, the Firefighters, and the Fun!

The leadership team at Amber Park was pleased to welcome the Violet Township Fire Department to our second Appreciation Luncheon. The highlight of the event was a "build your own burrito bowl," which was a hit with everyone. During the luncheon, we had the opportunity to get to know each other better and played an educational game called "Who Ya Gonna Call?" This game helped everyone understand the services provided by our partners and of course prizes were given. Our wonderful partners included: Wendi Gang from Right at Home, Jen Daniels from Enliven Home Health, and Heather Wood from Heartland Hospice! It was a great event filled with delicious food, valuable information, and community bonding. Thanks to all who attended. We can't wait for the next one!

The Super Steppers Walking Club had a very special guest at Groveport Senior Center today! Our group was delighted to be joined by the amazing Superman Onyx, who brought his passion for professional wrestling and senior fitness to our walking session.
Shawn Jones, aka "Superman Onyx," started our meeting with a great warm-up and walked alongside us, but that was just the beginning. He also shared exercises designed to help us maintain balance and stability as we age, ensuring we stay fit and active for years to come. And if that wasn’t exciting enough, he regaled us with captivating stories from his wrestling career, including tales of famous wrestlers he’s competed against. Many of those names were familiar to us.

A special thank you goes out to Lisa and Bob at Groveport Senior Center for hosting our group today. Your support and dedication make events like this possible, and we truly appreciate all that you do!

Our goal is to keep everyone moving, learning, and enjoying life to the fullest. The walking group meets the last Wednesday of each month at Groveport Senior Center. Picktown Palooza was a blast this weekend🌟 This three-day community event was packed with delicious food, awesome vendors from our community, fun rides for the kids, and fantastic live music. It was the perfect opportunity to catch up with old friends and make some new ones along the way. Amber Park is thrilled to support Pickerington and be a good neighbor. Special thanks to the wonderful staff from Diley Ridge Medical Center and U.S. Army for taking the time to connect with us too! You all made the event even more special! Thanks to everyone who stopped by to learn about Amber Park and made it such a memorable experience. Can't wait for next year! A special thanks to our Eric from Amber Park for setting up a tent that was almost 100% rain resistant!

What a blast we had at the Pickerington Senior Center's July 4th luncheon!
Our fun cookout lunch was made even more special with fantastic music by Dave Powers, who had us tapping our feet and singing along. 🎶 We tested our knowledge with some 4th of July trivia and had a blast with "Name That Tune - Patriotic Song Edition". The sing-along session was a rousing success, bringing out the star-spangled spirit in everyone! The highlight of the day was Sheryl Powell singing America the Beautiful...and yes, she hit the high note.
