Please join us in congratulating two of our outstanding team members on their recent accomplishments!

Simone, our dedicated Human Resource Coordinator, has officially earned her CEAL certification. The Ohio Certified Executive for Assisted Living (CEAL) program is a comprehensive credential that enhances the knowledge and leadership of assisted living professionals across the state.

We’re also thrilled to share that Maurionna has passed her NCLEX exam and is now a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)! Maurionna has been a valued member of The Ganzhorn Suites team for the past three years, formerly serving as a caregiver.

These achievements reflect the passion, dedication, and continued growth of our exceptional team. Congratulations, Simone and Maurionna—we’re so proud of you both!

At The Ganzhorn Suites Powell, our gardens are more than just beautiful outdoor spaces—they're a reflection of the meaningful moments and routines that bring our residents joy.

Many of our residents love spending time among the flowers, whether it's pulling a few weeds, admiring the blooms, or simply enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. For one gentleman in particular, caring for the gardens has become a treasured part of his day. If the forecast calls for sunshine, we remind him that the gardens need watering because this task brings him such joy.

This is person-centered care in action: recognizing what brings fulfillment to each individual and making it part of their daily life. We’re grateful for the moments like these that grow naturally in our community—just like our gardens. 🌿

In this group, you’ll:
• Gain helpful tips and techniques for caregiving.
• Learn approaches that have worked for others in similar situations.
• Share your experiences and advice with fellow caregivers.
We’re here to empower and support each other through the caregiving journey! This group is open to anyone who has a loved one living with dementia or is a caregiver to someone living with dementia.

The Fourth of July was a celebration to remember at The Ganzhorn Suites in Powell! 🇺🇸

We kicked off the day with classic outdoor games, organized by our dedicated team and volunteers, bringing smiles and a little friendly competition. The festivities continued with Happy Hour and a lively performance by Chris Bear that had everyone dancing and enjoying the music. And to top it all off? Our very own “fireworks” show with glitter poppers that lit up the room with laughter and joy.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a day filled with fun, family, and patriotic pride!

At The Ganzhorn Suites in Avon, we love bringing unique and engaging programs to our residents, especially ones that get everyone moving! One of our favorite activities is tap dancing, led by the talented team from Active For Life Fitness.

This innovative program is led by the creator of patented tap dance shoes and was even featured in Brain & Life Magazine (August/September 2021). The group has been with us since we opened, offering a joyful way to stay active through dance. Tap dancing not only gets our feet moving but also lifts our spirits!

We’re grateful for their continued partnership and the energy they bring to our community.

At The Ganzhorn Suites in Avon, we’re embracing the joys of summer with festive Fourth of July fun and classic picnic traditions.

Our Sensory Group kicked off the celebration with a discussion about favorite picnic items—then brought those memories to life by sampling sweet watermelon slices and peeling clementines. Meanwhile, our Helping Hands group got creative, crafting red, white, and blue centerpieces to bring patriotic flair to our community spaces.

We are proud to share that our Purplepalooza Fundraiser at Yogi's Bar & Grill raised an incredible $3,705 for the Alzheimer's Association!

Thank you to everyone who joined The Ganzhorn Gang – Continental Senior Communities for an evening of purpose and community. From the prize drawings to the liquor ring toss and wine grab, every moment helped support critical research, care, and resources for those affected by Alzheimer’s.

Residents at The Ganzhorn Suites recently enjoyed a heartwarming visit from the Horse -N- Round Fun LLC Petting Zoo! From gentle llamas to soft bunnies and miniature horses, the joy was unmistakable.

Animal interaction offers meaningful emotional and cognitive benefits for individuals living with memory loss—helping to spark smiles, reduce anxiety, and promote connection through sensory engagement and companionship.

Thank you to Horse-N-Round for bringing so much joy to our community!

The Ganzhorn Suites of Avon’s Purse Bingo event for their Walk to End Alzheimer’s team, The Ganzhorn Gang, was a huge success. We welcomed 65 participants and raised over $3,000 for the Alzheimer's Association. A special thanks to our partner for the event, Kingston of Vermilion, and to everyone who joined us.
