Well… the kiln didn’t make it.

Running a small business means things don’t always go as planned. This kiln arrived completely damaged—but luckily, we ordered two.

One’s a total loss, but the other is safe and sound. One broken kiln won’t stop us.

Setbacks like this happen, but we keep going. Thanks for sticking with us ❤️

Alongside our curated collection of home goods, art, skincare, and plant life, we’re now adding a full clay studio—with wheels, kilns, clay sinks, and creative classes. We can’t wait to get our hands dirty with you.

Our exterior sign just went up today!! and wow, what a humbling moment. After years of dreaming, building, and growing… it’s finally starting to feel real.

Our grand opening will be the official birthday celebration for Restalgic — and this one’s extra special, because Restalgic turns 5 years old this year. It’s been a journey full of grit, growth, and love.

Columbus, we couldn’t have done it without you. We’re so grateful for this city and the people who’ve supported us every step of the way.

Would you wait three years for a dream?
We did—and we’d do it all over again.

What started as a late-night conversation, an idea scribbled on paper, turned into something real. Through every pivot, every small business growing pain, every version we thought was “it”… we kept going. Even when it meant late nights, real tears, and sacrifices that no one ever sees.

Why? Because nothing compares to the look on someone’s face when they walk away with something made just for them. When your work becomes part of someone else’s joy—that’s the why.

And now, the wait is almost over.

Restalgic Atelier is opening our brick-and-mortar Atelier in Downtown Columbus July 2025.

We’re incredibly proud to be part of this season of growth alongside our friends at Evolverie and Quality Wellness, with deep thanks to the Ground Floor Growth Initiative and the city of Columbus for believing in this next chapter.

This isn’t just a store—it’s a space where art, care, and community live. A place built by hand, by heart, and for people.

We’ll be sharing more soon. But for now, just know… it’s finally becoming real.

Six Months of Pottery: Progress Update!

Just picked these up from the Kilnroom, and I can’t stop staring—the glaze turned out absolutely mesmerizing! It’s hard to believe that six months ago, I was starting from square zero, and now I’m creating pieces that feel truly my own. The journey has been full of challenges (and lots of clay-covered clothes), but every step has been worth it.

Huge thanks to the Kilnroom community for all the support and inspiration along the way! Can’t wait to keep learning and seeing where this craft takes me next.

I want to take a moment to personally thank Kim Knights with Columbus Empowerment Corporation for seeing the value in my work and purchasing these two special pieces.

—Ankhara – a tribute to the "ankh," the symbol of life.
—Nebet Seti – meaning "Lady of Royalty."

Kim not only chose one for herself but also gifted the other to Evelyn with the Urban Business League—a gesture that truly touched my heart.
