While a protest unfolded outside, inside the studio we continued to gather! Hosting a candle class, a pottery workshop, and welcoming one of our full-time pottery members at hand building. The contrast was surreal. Two worlds existing at once: voices calling for change beyond our walls, and hands quietly creating within them.

We’re holding space for both. For expression, for reflection, and for community. Our hearts and prayers are with everyone during this time — may safety, grounding, and compassion guide us all.

They’re moments that once breathed, once lived in my hands.

Clay that remembers pressure.
Bowls that held patience.
Cups shaped by pauses, not perfection.
Fortune cookies folded with intention, carrying quiet hopes inside.
Soap resting in molds, waiting to become what it was always meant to be.

Each piece marks a moment that existed before me and passed through me.
Time slowed. Hands learned. Mistakes softened into meaning.

We’re launching a limited run of our pottery candles TOMORROW, and there are only about 20 available. They go fast every time, so once they’re gone, you’ll have to wait for the next launch.

Four months of Restalgic! & somehow it already feels like home.

This candle-making workshop with Day Companies was hands-down the highlight of our Christmas season. They showed up dressed to celebrate, ready to pour wax, laugh loudly, and fully lean into the holiday spirit (honestly… elite energy). 🎄

Moments like this are why we do what we do. Watching people slow down, create something by hand, and leave with a candle and a memory never gets old. We’re beyond grateful for every class, every guest, and every bit of support over these first four months.
Here’s to community, creativity, and many more celebrations ahead. Thank you for making this season so special.

Two completely different settings! One personal, one corporate.
And yet, they carried the same beautiful effect.

In both spaces, something slowed down. People became present. Hands got busy. Conversations softened. Whether it was a small, intimate group or a full company gathering, candle making created room for connection, creativity, and calm.

That’s the power of working with your hands. It meets people exactly where they are — no experience required — and gives them a shared moment to create something meaningful they can take home.
