How can you receive the best massage possible??
Here are some helpful tips ⚡💡⚡

⚡ Communication!! Therapist can't read your mind. Let them know what you need and want. It's YOUR massage.

⚡ With a deeper massage anything broken up during the session will go to your lymphatic system. Your lymph doesn't have its own pump, so help your body clear things out with extra water.

⚡ Years of stress and strain will not be worked out in an hour long session. Getting your body back to homeostasis takes time and consistency 💆‍♀️ 💆🏽

⚡ Massage therapy should never hurt 🙅🏻‍♀️but when addressing issues it's normal to feel discomfort. Breathe and relax to help your therapist and body get the most work done. And remember if it's too much or not enough pressure communicate 👏 with 👏 your 👏 therapist 👏

What is ?
I create suction with my acrylic cups and massage with the cups (while maintaining suction) letting the muscle fibers run over themselves in a different way my hands can't achieve. It's a deeper massage without creating pressure. When the fibers roll over themselves in this way they break-up adhesions and tiny bits of stuck scar tissue. Once I am done massaging I will leave the cups for a few minutes (more or less depending on the person). Any broken up toxins are moved to the surface and then the body can deposit it as waste once it's worked out of the muscles.

💫Breaking up old scar tissue
I like to use the cupping in motion to create cross-fiber friction to soften up the tissues.

💫Releasing adhesions
Once the area is worked on and the suction is released your body's lymphatic system will move along the toxins released from the muscles.

💫Faster healing
With cupping it causes inflammation to the area - which is good! That means new blood and nutrients rush to the muscle to help it repair in a healthy way to make the muscle more supple and elastic.

Here's some SPOOKY things I've heard from clients 😲👻 This is just some homework I give after a massage.

-No water after your massage?!
AHH! Please continue the work I did and moving everything along your lymph. Because your lymphatic system does not have its own pump, with everything I work out, the lymph can be overwhelmed and make you feel sick! With water and exercise it will continue to move everything along.

-Your neck and back ache from sleeping in a bad position?
No matter what position you are comfortable in it's possible to keep your spine aligned throughout the night with the help of pillows and bolsters. Sleeping wrong for hours at a time can often lead to achy muscles.

-Still feel the need for work between massages?
That's totally normal! But I highly recommend working on yourself. Using tools to keep your muscles from returning back to the same tightness can create some maintenance for us until the next session. Let's create some progress 👏

-Feeling dehydrated?
If my voice isn't ringing in your head "drink water!!!" by now... then I'm not doing my job

-Muscles getting wound up and feeling tight?
It happens to all of us, but stretches can greatly help! I'm showing you certain stretches for your amount of time you can dedicate daily with what stretches would most benefit your body according to progress in the session.

**I rarely hear these, because my clients work hard on their bodies and really take their homework to heart! You guys are the best 😊
