Finished first official day at my new job! Alhamdulillah!

As some of you know, I faced so many obstacles to get here. I am so grateful to finally be here.

The best part was the last meeting of the day where the chief of surgery told me, unprompted, that they had already ordered surgery hijabs for me!!! 😄

Per popular request, I made a comparison of the IUD vs. . I think this one is often missed, even by healthcare providers.

Kyleena is the smaller, lower dose hormone sister of Mirena. Due to its smaller size, it is better for women who have never been pregnant, as it is less likely to cause cramping. However, due to the smaller dose of hormone, it is not specifically approved to treat heavy periods the way Mirena is.

Excellent new documentary from PBS that shows the health inequities amongst pregnant Black women in the U.S.
It's only about 1.5 hours and is free! I watched it last week and would highly recommend it.

Giving birth is a battleground for too many Black women and their babies.
