Fun fact about West Central students: They’re foodies! Whether shopping for groceries at Meijer, cooking in the school smart apartment, or savoring the choices at a mall food court, everyone loves the chance to buy or create something tasty. And after a good meal? There’s not much better than a Friday afternoon singalong concert with Chris Noon and friends.

Adjust plans, and stay off the roads

Use heating devices safely and check smoke and carbon monoxide detectors

Working and volunteering—both inside and outside the school—are foundational to the West Central program. Amy and Jill of our Transition Team create amazing opportunities for students at places like the Columbus Metropolitan Library operations center and Mount Carmel Health, plus our own school smart apartment and kitchen. Soon-to-be graduates get to experience day-program trials, too. And after all that hard work? Students know just where to find the mall massage chairs!
