Bound Tree was proud host another Congressional EMS Roundtable at our Greenwood, IN distribution center on June 18!

We brought together EMS leaders and policymakers—including Congressman Jefferson Shreve, Senator Jim Banks’ Regional Director Shawn Gardner, and Indiana State EMS Director Kraig Kinney—to discuss the challenges EMS agencies face and how we can better support them.

We’re especially grateful to Whitestown Fire, Seals Ambulance, Greenwood FD, Heartland Ambulance, and Pike County FD for sharing how reimbursement shortfalls are impacting their communities.

During the roundtable, Congressman Shreve was encouraged to support H.R. 2538 – the Comprehensive Alternative Response for Emergencies (CARE) Act, a bipartisan bill introduced by Congressmen Mike Carey (R-OH) and Lloyd Doggett (D-TX). This important legislation would provide Medicare reimbursement for EMS agencies delivering Treatment in Place (TIP)—a key step in strengthening emergency care.
