What if your self-care evolved with you?

I created a simple 4-step check-in model to help you assess your needs, honor your energy, and shift out of autopilot:

🔄 R+ESC
✨ Reflect
✨ Experiment
✨ Set Boundaries
✨ Check In Regularly

This is self-care you can grow with—not just survive through.

Curious how it works? I break it down (with real-life examples) in my latest blog post.

I used to think self-care meant taking a break after I hit burnout.

I called it “strong.” But it was really survival mode.

Now, self-care means resting before I’m exhausted. Saying no without guilt. Making space for joy—even when the to-do list isn’t done.

That last one was the hardest for me. Can you relate?

➡️ In my newest blog, I share what self-care isn’t, what it is, and a new model I created to help you check in with yourself: R+ESC.

Let me know if it resonates đź’›

Breaking the Myths & Finding What Works for You When you hear the phrase “self-care,” what pops in your mind? Do you imagine bubble baths, cozy blankets, and indulgent treats? While those things can certainly feel nice, real self-care goes much deeper—and it’s not always comfortable or easy. Popular culture often paints self-care as luxury—something you do when you’re “done” with all your responsibilities....

There was a time in my life when I thought healing meant finally “getting it right.” I thought if I journaled enough, stayed positive, and kept showing up for everyone around me, the pain I was carrying would somehow dissolve quietly in the background. What I’ve learned—and what I now teach—is that healing isn’t a straight line. It’s more like a spiral....

I woke up at 3AM and couldn’t fall back asleep. Normally, I’d force rest… but this time, I reached for my phone and started scrolling.
Not the healthiest choice — I know. But something in my spirit whispered: “It’s time to recalibrate your intentions with social media (but more importantly-- in life).”

Usually, I scroll mindlessly. But in that quiet moment, I became aware of something deeper — a low hum of anger and sadness that had been sitting with me.
I asked myself why, and then it hit me: I hadn't been mindful of what I was digesting.

And isn’t it wild? Social media is literally called a feed. A reel.
What I was “feeding” myself was toxic: overconsumption, mindless content, cruel jokes, sarcasm, chaos… No wonder I felt off.

Even though I didn’t stop scrolling, I got intentional.
I chose not to engage with what drained me. I stopped reacting to what didn’t align.

And within minutes, my feed shifted.
Natural healing. Sustainable living. Nourishing truths. Realness that reflected me — the grounded, plant-loving, truth-seeking version of myself.

It reminded me of this truth:
Sometimes we just need to call a break to calibrate — to get intentional again.
Life, like your feed, will meet you where your energy flows.

What are you feeding your spirit?

Today, I was reminded of a valuable life lesson during our tournament. The boys played two games—

Game 1: They were fast, focused, and full of energy. Their teamwork was on point, and they won 9–0!

Game 2: They were tired. The sun was blazing, and they had just poured everything into the first match. The next team was fresh and strong. But our boys didn't give up—they dug deep and played their hearts out. It was a close one, but they lost 4–3.

Here's the thing: they never quit. They showed up, fought hard, and made progress.

Too often, we chase perfection and forget to honor effort.

Progress deserves praise. It's not about being flawless—it’s about showing up, again and again.

Process over 'profection'—always.

Today’s journaling workshop was truly a beautiful experience.

I’m so grateful for the women who showed up with open hearts and a willingness to pour into themselves.

Witnessing the healing, the reflection, and the light in the room reminded me why this work matters so much.

No pictures needed — the memories and breakthroughs are more than enough.
Thank you all for trusting me to guide the space.

May we all continue to write our way to healing.

Burnout doesn’t always arrive with flashing warning signs.Sometimes, it sneaks in quietly. You might feel a little more tired each day, a little more emotionally drained, a little less like yourself. You keep pushing through, thinking it's just a rough week. But then a week turns into months. Let’s be clear: Burnout is more than just feeling tired. It’s a full-body, whole-self exhaustion that affects your mind, spirit, emotions, and relationships....
