Yesterday my Son saw me running out the door. I was just headed down the road to the butcher shop real quick, but we are so connected that he broke down and sat on the curb ready to wait until I got home..
My wife sent me this picture as I was driving away, and it reminded me of younger me. My real dad left me before I was even two years old, except he never came back. (Luckily I have the greatest step dad on the planet who I actually consider to be my real father)
This picture hit so hard for me; a little guy so loyal that he couldn’t be away from me for even 20 minutes.
So when I saw this pic of him waiting for his dad to come home, I saw myself.. except for one thing..
You best believe I turned my truck right around and scooped him up so we could go to the store together. I got you little guy 🙏🏽
