Last week we hosted The Whitehall Senior Center for lunch. Chef Marrit made her famous lasagna, garlic bread and caesar salad. For dessert she served apple cobbler and ice cream. It was a great afternoon of food, fun and laughter.

Last week we celebrated National Nursing Assistants Week!! The week culminated with all of our care managers receiving tote bags, water bottles and their own personalized t-shirt. Our Personal Care Assistants absolutely ROCK!!!

I thought I’d put a face with the name. Malaya is our receptionist who answers all phone calls and greets our residents and guests in a warm and friendly manner. When asked what the best part of her day is, “just listening to our residents stories.” Malaya is from West Virginia, and we are glad she relocated up here!!

Happy Monday, I thought we’d start off the week with some sweetness!! Sweetness is Lu’s nickname, or Maintenance Director. Lu does more than just fix things, he spends quality time with our residents getting to know them. Lu makes AOB great!!

This is our guy Jason, but we call him J-Mac!! J-Mac is from Kentucky and love his Wildcats! You can usually find Jason in our common areas talking to his friends, or sitting outside enjoying the weather. We are glad that Jason calls The Ashford on Broad home.

We extend a warm welcome to Ms. Alma Stewart, a recent addition to our community. Originally from Georgia, Ms. Stewart relocated to the Cleveland area, where she pursued her nursing license and retired in 2018. In her leisure time, she enjoys bowling and walking. Ms. Stewart attributes her longevity to an active lifestyle. We are delighted that Ms. Stewart has chosen The Ashford on Broad as her residence.
