🚨Did you know that you can experience preeclampsia after giving birth? These are the postpartum preeclampsia warning signs you need to know.
Postpartum preeclampsia can be more dangerous than preeclampsia during pregnancy because it can be hard to identify. Postpartum preeclampsia most often happens within 48 hours of having a baby, but it can develop up to 6 weeks after your baby’s birth. According to the Preeclampsia Foundation, postpartum preeclampsia can happen even to those who didn’t have high blood pressure during their pregnancy.

As we approach the holiday season, please keep these tips in mind to ensure your care is uninterrupted:

☎️ We ask that you consider any visits that may need rescheduling due to holiday travel in advance, to avoid missed visits or late cancellations.

💊 Please request any prescription refills at least 72 hours before any scheduled closure to ensure enough time for coordination with your provider and pharmacy.

🧑‍⚕️Our on-call provider is available for emergencies only by calling our office number. Emergency obstetric care is available 24/7 at Piedmont Columbus Regional OB Emergency Department.
