Oktoberfest celebrations are always a blast, but ours was extra special! We rolled out the barrel to honor our incredible first responders - our brave firefighters and police officers who keep us safe every day. 🍺👮‍♂️🚒
Our culinary team whipped up some seriously delicious German grub, and the authentic tunes had everyone dancing and enjoying the music. 🎶
A huge shoutout to our first responders for all that you do. We're so grateful to have you watching over our community! 🙏

At Roxbury Cottages Memory Care at First Community Village, we're dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to individuals living with memory loss, including those affected by Alzheimer's disease. That's why we were proud to participate in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's this past weekend! Our team and residents came together to walk, fundraise, and show their support for those impacted by Alzheimer's. Together, we can make a difference and work towards a future without Alzheimer's.

What a wonderful Celebration of Art! Our 5th Annual Art Show at First Community Village was a huge success! We featured incredible exhibits on Children and Motherhood, stunning fiber art by Molly Todd, captivating paintings by Alice Schille, and breathtaking sculptures by Alfred Tibor. The atmosphere was even more enchanting with beautiful chamber music entertainment.

"WE HAD A BLAST AT OUR 10TH ANNUAL BUCKEYE BASH!
First Community Village was buzzing with excitement as we celebrated a decade of Buckeye spirit! A huge thank you to the incredible ALUMNI Band for keeping the energy high and to BRUTUS for making a special appearance!
Our culinary team knocked it out of the park with delicious BBQ that left everyone wanting more! And with over 200 attendees, it was truly a night to remember!

Timeless classics stole the show at our Annual Vintage Car Show! Residents enjoyed a day of nostalgia with cars from the 30's and 40's, and some even took a spin in a 1915 Ford Model T! Our Culinary team fueled the fun with an amazing lunch afterwards.

Congratulations to our Director of Memory Care, Brian Goldstein, and Life Enrichment Leader, Danielle Lamar, who earned their PAC Certifications! 🎊🎉 We are so excited to see how this training brings more expertise and enrichment to our Roxbury Memory Care! 🏠

What does it take to support those living with dementia? For us, it starts with education, empathy, and a commitment to grow every day.

We’re proud to celebrate ten of our team members who earned certifications from Positive Approach to Care (PAC); a nationally recognized program founded by dementia care expert Teepa Snow. PAC training builds real-world skills to improve communication, reduce stress, and deepen trust with those experiencing cognitive change.

🎓 Here’s who earned their PAC credentials: Champion Teachers: Tom Bosley, Brian Goldstein, Sally Kolcun, Christina Leith, Stephanie Williams; Coaches: Jessica DiBari, Danielle Lamar, Demi Nega, Cammy Sagraves; Trainer: Areasa Owens.

These aren’t just certifications, they’re tools for stronger human connection.
