✨❄️ Holiday magic is in full swing at Little Miracles EDC! ❄️✨
This month, our teachers have put together the sweetest activities to spark creativity, sensory exploration, and pure joy in our little learners.

Our infant/toddler classrooms brought the season to life with REAL snow sensory buckets, sparkly glitter snowflakes, cotton candy-cane crafts, and even a cozy cardboard gingerbread house complete with a sleigh! 🍬🏠✨

These activities aren’t just cute — they are age-appropriate experiences that support early development:

👐 Sensory play helps infants and toddlers explore textures, temperatures, and new sensations.
🎨 Holiday arts and crafts support fine-motor skills, creativity, and early self-expression.
🎄 Themed activities build excitement, imagination, and a sense of seasonal joy.
🤝 Cozy classroom setups (like our gingerbread house!) create inviting spaces where children feel safe, engaged, and ready to learn.

🦃🎨 Thankful Hearts & Creative Hands at Little Miracles EDC! 🎨🦃

Today our little artists had so much fun creating their very own turkey crafts using watercolors, construction paper feathers, and lots of imagination! These moments aren’t just adorable — they are powerful learning experiences for our infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Why these activities matter:
🌈 Watercolors help children express themselves in a gentle, sensory-friendly way. The soft strokes, color mixing, and free-flow creativity allow little ones to explore emotions, curiosity, and early artistic expression.

🪣 Sensory buckets and tactile materials give children the chance to explore textures, sounds, and movement. Sensory play supports language development, problem-solving, curiosity, and emotional regulation. It helps children feel grounded, engaged, and confident as they learn through touch and exploration.

And with Thanksgiving approaching, these crafts give our children a beautiful way to celebrate the season — learning about gratitude, family, and the joy of creating something special with their own hands.

🦷✨ Smiles All Around at Little Miracles EDC! ✨🦷
Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Giggles to our center! They came by to give our little ones sparkling clean smiles and share the importance of dental care. Our toddlers and Pre-K friends learned that taking care of their teeth is super important — and super fun! 😁

A big thank you to Giggles for not only providing such a valuable service but also for gifting our children, staff, and administration. Your kindness and care truly made our day brighter! 💙

🍂 Painting with Nature: Fall Leaf Fun for Preschoolers! 🎨

At Little Miracles, we love turning nature into art! Our preschoolers are exploring the beauty of fall leaves through hands-on painting activities that spark creativity, curiosity, and sensory learning.

Using real leaves as brushes and stamps, children discover shapes, textures, and colors—while strengthening fine motor skills and developing an appreciation for the changing seasons. 🍁

It’s more than just art—it’s science, exploration, and imagination all rolled into one colorful experience! 🌟

Currently, the state of Ohio is 50 out of 51 states with the lowest eligibility rates to receive public assistance for childcare. Please get out in VOTE! Ohio Senators and Representatives are blocking this ever year‼️

We have been asking for over 10 years to be increased to 200% so families can make more and still qualify. And ever year the answer is NO‼️

Neighboring states rates, you can make up to this amount and still qualify!
Illinois: 225% ($24.56 per hour)
Pennsylvania: 200% (19.65 per hour)
Ohio: 150% ($14.74 per hour)

Groundwork Ohio is calling on lawmakers to increase the amount of money families can make and still qualify for publicly funded child care.

It is always easy to speak with passion about the work of RISE and Commissioner Crawley because I know their efforts are rooted in preparing ALL Franklin County children to be preschoolers ready for kindergarten by 2050.
