CONCENTRATION

This is one of the prime necessities for creative thinking and for healing. You must learn to concentrate all your thoughts on a subject of contemplation or an object in hand. One’s concentration should focus, like a magnifying glass, so that it becomes absorbed, unmoved by external forces, as to suspend the present-day self (attunement and at-one-ment).

On the subject of concentration from a Stoa Lesson, Daskalos said:

“If I have a magnifying glass and I concentrate a few rays of the Sun on a sheet of paper, it will catch fire. That’s a phenomenon: concentration of the Sun rays through some means (the magnifying glass). Otherwise, the rays of the Sun are everywhere and we still feel cold. We have a cold Sun during the winter, yet a few of those rays can make a paper catch fire. Such is the Mind.

So, what’s concentration and meditation? Using the brain. The material brain is used as a magnifying glass: concentrate a few rays of the Mind Supersubstance, and you’ll see the result. And this means – knowing whatever you want to know by concentrating the Mind on these things. It’s leading us to knowledge, and still more, and more. But, we have to find the way of doing it.

The secret, now, is to use the Mind in the right way. Using the mind in the right way means not enslaving it to serve the desires.

OBSERVATION

It is central to our work that we strive to develop our capacity for Observation: Attention without tension. Perfect concentration. Without the ability to observe and to recall in detail what you have observed, your awareness of, and attunement to, the Divine Plan is, at best, imperfect.

It is an expression of our Divine nature. It requires that nothing escapes our attention either in the gross material world or in the planes of the psychical and noetical worlds.

Hello Everyone,

Recently we spoke about the Lord's Prayer saying Christ addressed this pray to "our' Father - everyone's Father God - This is Our Heavenly Father which is where? Everywhere because our Heavenly Father, God, is Omnipresent and Earth is the first of the seven distinguishable heavens.

The next part of the prayers says, "Hallowed be thy Name". Hallowed means Holy and what comes from God is Holy but what is God is Divine. So, His name is Divine at its source, but Holy in expression.

Just like the Mind Super Substance is emanated by God and all the Divine Beings in God to be used as the means for the creation of the heavens and everything in them. The Mind is not God but is an expression of God. Thus, the Mind is also Divine at its source and Holy in its expression.

Hello Everyone,

As you probably know thoughts are things called elementals. Every elemental has a form, (even though we cannot see them with our material eyes we can feel them). Elementals are not beings, but they have a living existence, a form of certain shape and color. They have a purpose and a power. Their purpose and power are given to them by the one who created it. And the power has to do with the number of times the thought form (elemental) has been expressed and the degree of intensity of those expressions. Thus, in the case of a very angry person, they end up harboring a massive group of elementals, which as mentioned have power. It is this power, the energy, the quality of these elemental that you are feeling.

We can classify elementals in two groups – the ones that are mostly composed of thought and the ones that are mostly composed of emotion or desire. You cannot have a thought without some emotion about it nor can you have an emotion, desire or feeling without some thought associated with it.
