Meet the STARS of DSACO's Dancing with Our Stars Gala!

Morgan is excited to be dancing in the Gala for her second time! She is excited to represent adults with Down syndrome and show off all her hard work! Morgan also loves having the chance to get glammed up for the event. She works at the Columbus Zoo, attends a theater day program, and sings on her church worship team. Morgan also enjoys cooking, watching WWE, dancing and singing, and being independent.

Derek is excited to be dancing in the Gala for his ninth year, showcasing his passion for dance. He has loved movement ever since he could walk and is inspired by Michael and Janet Jackson. Outside of dancing, Derek stays active with bowling, track, flag football, and basketball. He has enjoyed working at Culver’s for eight years, as well as participating in Groveport Special Olympics. Derek values spending time with family and friends!

Meet the STARS of DSACO's Dancing with Our Stars Gala!

Mikayla is excited to be dancing in her fifth Gala! She enjoys attending all R friends day program and working at Growlers Dog Bones, where she feels most included in the community. Mikayla enjoys participating in DSACO programs and events that give her an opportunity to meet new people. One of her favorite things about the Gala is getting dressed up and dancing with a handsome man!

Alex is thrilled to be back for another year of showing off his amazing dance moves in the Gala! As the oldest of four siblings, he enjoys spending a lot of time watching movies with his siblings. Alex is very outgoing and is always looking to make new friends with his infectious sense of humor. He enjoys listening to John Legend, watching Kung Fu Panda, and cooking. Alex also loves spending time with his mom and helping her make delicious food!

Meet the STARS of DSACO's Dancing with Our Stars Gala!

Michelle loves participating in DSACO events like the Gala, Buddy Walk, and Adult Conference. She enjoys being involved in Special Olympics, doing puzzles, dates with her fiancé, and spending time with her family and dog, Sally. Michelle has a strong commitment to both personal and community connections, which brings her joy and fulfillment.

Jacob is excited to be dancing for his fifth year in the Gala, and he looks forward to it every year! He stays busy with Special Olympics swimming, Buddy Up for Life community classes, and DSACO Improv. Jacob also enjoys working at Bitty & Beau’s Coffee. He has an outgoing personality and loves to make people laugh!

Don't forget to register for DSACO's World Down Syndrome Day Book Bundles!

Celebrate your student with Down syndrome on World Down Syndrome Day (3/21) by gifting a Book Bundle to their school! Our Book Bundles aim to celebrate students with Down syndrome in our 25-county service area and raise awareness about inclusion.

Inside each Book Bundle are:
- Two engaging books selected based on the student’s age, focusing on advocacy, inclusion, and awareness.
- Interactive classroom resources to encourage inclusive learning.
- Fun celebratory materials like stickers and bookmarks.

Book Bundle requests will close on Friday, February 6. Book Bundles will be mailed out in early March to ensure classrooms receive them in time to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day on March 21!

Meet the STARS of DSACO's Dancing with Our Stars Gala!

Michelle has been dancing in the Dancing with Our Stars Gala since 2017! Known for her infectious smile, Michelle attends all R friends day program and loves dancing, singing, and worshipping at church. She also enjoys crafting, playing BINGO, and getting her nails done.

Keith has been dancing in the Gala since 2022 and loves showing off his dance moves! He enjoys reading comics, drawing, and relaxing with coffee and a Little Debbie snack. Keith is also passionate about Harley Davidson motorcycles and collecting DVDs.

Dive into the fun!

Join us for a splashing good time as our teens and adults combine for an epic pool party! People with Down syndrome ages 13 and over, along with their immediate siblings and parents, are invited to join us at the Westerville Community Center on Sunday, February 8 from 5:30 - 7 PM.

Enjoy time with other DSACO families while exploring all the exciting water activities like the lazy river, slides, and splash area.

Meet the STARS of DSACO's Dancing with Our Stars Gala!

Maria has been dancing in the Gala since 2017! Maria is proud to work at Kroger, and her biggest accomplishment in 2025 was taking a trip to Québec City along with her big sister and no parents! She also loves tennis and basketball and enjoys attending of all the DSACO adult events because they make her feel included in the community.

Leo is excited to be returning to the Gala and bringing his infectious energy! Leo is a music enthusiast who loves pop music. He also enjoys photography and tennis in his free time. When he’s not dancing, he can be found watching Thomas the Train and spreading joy wherever he goes.
