Buddy Walk t-shirt pick up days are:
- Saturday, September 27 | 10 AM - 3 PM
- Monday, September 29 | 10 AM - 7 PM

We encourage you to stop by the DSACO office and pick up your team's t-shirts before the Buddy Walk and say hi! 👋 Buddy Walk t-shirts will only be available for pick up during t-shirt pick up days, so don't miss your change to grab them before the big day!

Team Captains who registered their team on March 21 will also be able to pick up their team poster!

As we look to October and celebrating Down Syndrome Awareness Month, DSACO is excited to once again partner with Penn Station East Coast Subs!

During the month of October, you will be able to purchase a "Deals for Down syndrome" coupon booklet from your local Penn Station. Coupon booklets will include valuable savings and 100% of the proceeds will be donated back to DSACO!

Keep an eye out for more details as we get closer to October. We're excited to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month and provide our community with many different ways to advocate, celebrate and support! 💙💛

The Columbus Buddy Walk is happening Sunday, October 5, and provides the perfect opportunity to say, "Count Me In" and give back to your local community while making an impact on the lives of people with Down syndrome.

From helping with t-shirt pick up, to event day set up, to helping families enjoy day-of activities, we've got plenty of volunteer options to choose from!

Mark your calendars and celebrate the arrival of fall with DSACO at our Pumpkin Patch Playdate for Little Buddies, School Age, and Teens! 🍂

This event will be hosted at two convenient locations again this year, with plenty of fun for everyone! Join us on Sunday, September 21 from 3 - 5 PM at either Van Buren Acres in Hebron, Ohio OR Lehner's Pumpkin Farm in Radnor, Ohio.

Join us for an afternoon of festive autumn fun, meaningful connections with other DSACO families, and memory-making activities. The perfect way to enjoy the season together!

Another month, another challenge for our Team Captains! 💪

Wow! Our Team Captains really showed up for our August Challenge, taking us up and over $330,000 raised for DSACO! 🎉

We're getting closer and closer to our fundraising goal, and we're challenging our Team Captains to keep those donations coming and help build our community even more this month!

The Buddy Walk team with the most individual donations of $10 or more, for the month of September, will be crowned the winner! The winning team will receive a VIP Tour for ten people of The Ohio State University Stadium – The Shoe! 🏈

This 90-minute experience includes access to the Steinbrenner Band Center, home locker room, and other exclusive areas that Buckeye fans dream of seeing.

Rally your friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers to give back this month and help you win this incredible experience!

October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month and we're excited to help you celebrate with our Down Syndrome Awareness classroom packets!

Each classroom packet includes this extraordinary poster, teacher resources, and other items that can be used in the classroom to promote inclusion all year long. 💙💛

Classroom packets will be available for pick up at our upcoming Pumpkin Patch Playdate (both locations!) and at Buddy Walk T-shirt pick up days later this month.

Help us spread love and inclusion as we celebrate our loved ones with Down syndrome!

It's time for another DSACO volunteer spotlight!

Meet Chuck and Jan!

They both began volunteering with DSACO at the Columbus Buddy Walk, knowing it would be a great fit because of their personal connection to Down syndrome. Jan's brother, Kenny, had Down syndrome, and Chuck quickly became Kenny’s best buddy.

Volunteering with DSACO brings back those joyful memories while allowing them to give back to other families in the community.

Since then, they’ve continued volunteering for many different DSACO events and programs. Chuck especially enjoys the Improv class, where he was once nicknamed “Grandpa” by a participant because of his gray beard - a name he wears proudly!

For Chuck and Jan, the best part of volunteering is the connections they make. “Connecting with the families and individuals and hearing their stories and sharing ours is very rewarding,” they share. Their advice for new volunteers is to not be intimidated - the DSACO staff and community will make you feel welcome and appreciated.

Chuck and Jan, thank you for your kindness, dedication, and heart - we are so grateful to have you as part of the DSACO family!
